Introducing Snapshots

Strengthening your team's shared insight into your business/operation is one of our primary goals at Librato. To that extent we've previously introduced features like collaborators, replacing URI parameters, and shareable dashboards. Today we're excited to introduce snapshots, i.e. the ability to capture a point-in-time image of a given chart as a PNG file with a simple click or key press. This capability is now available on any previously configured instrument:

After creating your snapshot we store the image for you and provide you with a permalink you can pass around or use to download a copy of the image whenever you need it:

If you've configured integrations with Campfire in your Account Settings, we additionally support pushing new snapshots directly into the Campfire rooms of your choosing. This includes both the name of and a link back to the captured instrument:

Finally, to make taking snapshots as easy as possible we've bound the s key to the snapshot action. Any selected Campfire rooms are remembered from the previous snapshot. Try it out and let us know what you think!
